Overview

Join the UofG FemCollab for a ceilidh to celebrate International Women’s Day!

This event is student-led, supported by the SRC and QMU. We will be taking over the QMU on Wednesday March 12th for a night of ceilidh dancing, fundraising, and fun! The evening will include:

  • Ceilidh band and dancing
  • Hand-made charity candles available to purchase from the lovely BrightHer
  • Raffle prizes available to win

We have two student ticket options available for this event - £3 donation tickets, which include a ticket to our raffle, and £0 FREE tickets for any student who is unable to make a donation, but still wants to attend the event.

All funds raised from this event will be split evenly between Ubuntu Women’s Shelter (SC048645) and Small Trans Library – two wonderful causes we feel are important to highlight around International Women’s Day.

This event is primarily a fundraiser, but we also feel it will be a wonderful community building opportunity for feminists on campus and we don’t want anyone to be excluded from this for financial reasons. There is no judgement no matter which ticket option you choose.

Accessibility

The QMU includes a lift for public use. Accessible toilet facilities are located on the ground floor within the male and female standard toilets. Gender Neutral standard toilet facilities are located on the third floor to the left as you exit the lift. For more information about the accessibility of the venue, please review the guide on AccessAble
