Society for Women in Ancient Cultures and BrightHer are teaming up for a candle making session!

To mark 16 Days of Activism against GBV, we will be holding a workshop focused on GBV against ancient women and modern women, followed by fun candle making.

Come along to learn more about what you can do to fight GBV and make a gorgeous candle to take away with you!

All attendees must follow the GUSRC Events Code of Conduct: https://www.glasgowunisrc.org/policies/events-conduct/.

What to Expect:
• All materials will be provided for free by BrightHer and SWAC.
• Brief presentation from SWAC and BrightHer about history of GBV over time and signposting to modern-day resources.
• Societies will lead candle-making activity, as well as decorative box making to allow students to bring candles home.

Accessibility:
• The venue is wheelchair accessible with accessible toilets. There is a guide to accessing the venue available via AccessAble.
• Please let us know if you have any specific access requirements so we can make necessary arrangements – contact events@src.gla.ac.uk ahead of the event with access requirements.
