Overview

Come along and meet the Glasgow Guardian team!
Writing workshop from 5.30 to 6.30 in the Williams Room, McIntyre
Building.
The session will start with a presentation about how the paper works from
pitching to print. We will explain the pitching process in particular in detail
for those who are new to the paper. There will be a chance for general
questions during this time.
Then writers will be able to speak with the editors of the section that is of
specific interest to them: News, Politics, Opinion, Environment, Lifestyle,
Culture, Science and Tech, and Sport. So much choice. Don't worry if you
don't know what section your article would work best in yet, that is what
we are here to help with.
The sessions will largely be drop in, so feel free to come and go as you
please.
Writers are encouraged to bring drafts of articles they have been working
on. As the name suggests, writers can workshop their articles with an
editor. If you are still in the idea stage, no problem. You can always chat
to an editor about sources and structure, and gain a clear understanding
from the get go on the style of the section. If you have a finalised article
you want to show off, bring it, our editors love to read.
Writers of all abilities at all stages of writing encouraged to come along.
Our team are super friendly
