Overview

AWS Glasgow is thrilled to kick off our Women in Surgery series with Women in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery in LT 639 at the James McCune Learning Hub. We’ll be joined by three inspiring surgeons who will share their insights into the life of a Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon, the challenges they've faced as women in surgical training, and valuable advice for medical students on preparing for surgical training and how to build a strong surgical portfolio.

We are especially excited to welcome one of Scotland’s first female orthopaedic trainees, who will share her personal journey.

Following the talks, we will have a Q&A panel where you will get to ask any burning questions, and we will then move over to the Wolfson Medical School Building for a hands-on workshop in external fixation and wrist plating kindly sponsored by Stryker. This practical session will be led by orthopaedic registrars from the West of Scotland.

We look forward to seeing you there!
