National Undergraduate Surgical Oncology Conference: Resecting Head to Toe
📅 Saturday, 17th May 2025
📍 Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow
The Association of Women Surgeons Glasgow is proud to present the first-ever national undergraduate conference dedicated entirely to surgical oncology. This one-day event aims to explore the full breadth of the specialty while inspiring and equipping the next generation of aspiring surgeons.
The programme will feature talks from leading surgeons across the UK, covering a wide range of subspecialties including neurosurgery, breast surgery, paediatric surgery and more. Delegates will also have the opportunity to participate in practical afternoon workshops, including laparoscopic surgical skills training.
To close the day, we will host a Women in Surgery panel discussion, featuring women at various stages of surgical training – from medical school through to consultancy – sharing their experiences, insights, and advice on navigating a career in surgery.
This event will also be supporting a charitable cause, with proceeds contributing to the Beatson Cancer Charity, which provides essential cancer services and research funding in the West of Scotland.
