Join us for a challenging walk up the Cobbler!

The route is 12 km (7.5 miles) and includes 850m of ascent. The terrain is sometimes steep and rocky/uneven, it may also be muddy. You can find further information here.

We will be meeting at 8:45am at the Glasgow Botanic Gardens to get a hired coach to Arrochar. We expect to be back in Glasgow by 7pm. Please note, the Subway will not be running on Sunday morning so make sure to plan your travel to the meeting point.

We require walking boots to attend this walk; we cannot allow you to walk if you do not have safe, appropriate footwear. As the weather can be unpredictable, we also require sensible clothing including waterproofs and warm layers. We suggest you bring plenty of water, food for the day and any personal medications. For more information please see our Shoe Guide and Safety Policy.

Please feel free to contact us with any concerns or questions about the walk, what to expect on the day, what to bring etc. You can message us on Instagram (@guwalkingsociety) or email us (guwalkingsociety@gmail.com) and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

All attendees must follow the GUSRC Events Code of Conduct: https://www.glasgowunisrc.org/policies/events-conduct/
