Overview

Tickets for the walk will be available at 6pm on Monday 25th.

Join us and the Neurodiversity Society for a relaxed walk around Pollok Country Park!

There are two options for the walk- you can either meet us at the University where we will walk to the Park, or you can catch the train and meet us there.

The route is 18km (10 miles) if you're walking to and from the University, and has little to no ascent. The trail is entirely paved so will be easily accessible. You can find the route plan below. If you're walking from the University, please meet us in Professor's Square at 10am.

If you're planning to get the train, we will be meeting at 10am at Glasgow Central Station to catch the 10:18 am train to Pollokshaws West. The walk will be significantly shorter, only a few miles. We expect to be back in Glasgow by 2pm latest. Reminder, the Subway will not be running this early in the morning.

We require walking boots to attend this walk; we cannot allow you to walk if you do not have safe, appropriate footwear. As the weather can be unpredictable, we also require sensible clothing including waterproofs and warm layers. We suggest you bring plenty of water, food for the day and any personal medications. For more information please see our Shoe Guide , Safety Policy.

Please feel free to contact us with any concerns or questions about the walk, what to expect on the day, what to bring etc. You can message us on Instagram (@guwalkingsociety) or email us (guwalkingsociety@gmail.com) and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
