The Tigers is a mixed gender team and we pride ourselves on our inclusivity and team ethic.
We compete in the BUCS Division 1 Borders League. We have been very successful in recent years, gaining promotion to this division in 2022, and making the playoffs of this division in 2023.
Socials
Off the pitch, we have a very active social presence around the university. Activities include weekly socials, joint socials with other sport teams, NFL watch parties, an annual trip abroad, and many more! There are always opportunities to be social through the team.
Training
Training Training is based within Glasgow and occurs twice per week. We play fixtures on Sundays. We also offer private team gym sessions and advice on Strength and Conditioning.
See the Club Sport Training Timetable for training times
Membership
There is no prior knowledge of the sport needed in order to join the team and we provide all kit to registered players.
There are no try-outs for the team, but a commitment to attending training is encouraged. So, if you are interested in playing for our team, come along to one of our training sessions and play some ball!
For those who have never played the sport before, there is a taster session at the start of the Autumn term to give you the chance to try the sport.
We're keen to help team members gain skills that will help them after they leave university, with many opportunities in fundraising, coaching, officiating, leadership, and outreach!

Insurance
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the appropriate insurance cover for any activity you take part in. Upon joining, please check the level of insurance cover we, as a club, provide to you.
GUSA recommends that all students playing high risk sport, go abroad to compete/train, or are playing in governing body leagues, may want to consider/need to take out personal liability insurance, or join the sports governing body to be covered. Some insurance providers also offer specialist sports cover.
