Welcome to the Glasgow University Book Society - or GUBS! GUBS is a brand new society that aims to allow like-minded people to meet, share ideas and opinions, and, most importantly, make friends!

Our meetings will be a great chance for you to discuss the society's book of the month or anything else you have been reading with other people. We hope that our meetings will provide an opportunity for you to interact with others who are passionate about the same things.

Even if you are not a big reader or are wanting to read more, joining our society would be a great way to start! Everyone is welcome to join the meetings and socials, even if you haven't managed to finish the book for that month.

This year, we are wanting to do as many events as we can, including bake sales, book swaps, and book/pub quizzes. We want this society to be as much a social one as literary!
