Glasgow University Christian Union exists to give every student on our campus the opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ!
Glasgow University Christian Union is an exciting student mission team made up of all kinds of people from lots of different churches, and we want to tell and show people how much Jesus loves them and wants to know them! We have a variety of ways in which we connect with people and live out this mission.
An average week at GUCU starts with our Monday morning prayer meeting, where we gather together to lift our mission and our campus to God in prayer. Our International Café then meets from 4pm - 6pm in the GUU each Monday. On Tuesdays at 5.45pm we have Equip which is our main weekly meeting. At this we spend time praising Jesus, praying together and encouraging one another, as well has hearing from a guest speaker. On a Wednesday evenings we serve teas and coffees outside HIVE, and on Thursday evenings we have CU Football. We also have Impact groups meeting throughout the week in student halls. If you want to know more about all these things we do and why we do them, check out our website - gucu.co.uk, or our instagram - @glasgowunicu.
All our activities are open to students of all faiths and none, so if you want to come along, message our instagram page or send us an email, we'd love to welcome you!
As a CU we also run lots of free lunches and evening events throughout the year. Here, we invite guest speakers along to tackle some of life’s big questions, as well as making space to discuss the Christian Faith with anyone who wants to. Our events are open to everyone, no matter where you’re from or what you think about the Christian Faith. We’d love you to come along and have a chat!
