Glasgow University Student Action For Refugees (STAR)
Student Action for refugees is a national charity which aims to raise awareness for issues facing refugees and asylum seekers.
Here in Glasgow we organise and run a weekly conversation club that helps local members of the refugee and asylum community learn and practice their conversational English.
We have various fundraising events throughout the year to support travel costs of our learners, help with technology accessibility and provide critical support to our community.
We organise awareness events and campaigns to draw attention to the issues facing refugee and asylum seekers here in Glasgow.
