We are a society focused on sound engineering, music software, electronic music, and synthesizers. Activities range from live music, workshops, lectures, guest talks, and other social events.

If you're into electronic music and music tech, then the GUAES might be for you!

We aim to provide a range of music-related events, as well as garner discussion on our discord server. The GUAES Discord is a great place to share any DIY projects you might be working on, promote your own or others' music, and just hang out!

At GUAES, we have many activities planned for the future:

  • Workshops - Build and take home your own effects units, noise boxes, and many other esoteric electronic instruments!
  • Jam sessions - Bring your own instruments/noise-making devices and collaborate with other members, or just come along to listen and discover new instruments!
  • Talks and Performances - Come along to talks from local artists and makers, with topics ranging from music software, hardware development, mixing/mastering, and audio-synthesis!
  • Socials - Socialise and interact with fellow members at live events, pub meets, sub-crawls, and even game nights!
