Glasgow Chinese Students and Scholars Association(GCSSA) is the only student society of the University of Glasgow which accredited by the Education Section of the Chinese Embassy in the UK and the Chinese Consulate General in Edinburgh. At the same time, it is a member of Chinese Students and Scholars Association UK(CSSAUK) and a part of Chinese Students and Scholars Association among the world. Also, we are the largest Chinese students society in Scotland.
GCSSA is committing to enrich the cultural life and sports competition of students and scholars in Glasgow area through different activities. The annual events include but not limited to “New students Pick-up”, “Voice of Glasgow”, “the Week of Chinese Culture”, “One-week CP”, “Dance of Singles’ Day”, “Badminton Contest”, “Lectures of PhD-Application and Job-hunting”, “the Chinese Spring Festival Gala”. Not only these activities promote academic communication of students and scholars in Glasgow, but also create a good reputation in the Chinese community of Glasgow, which receive unanimous praise.
In addition, GCSSA speaks on behalf of the Chinese students and represents them to communicate with schools, universities and the local government, for protecting the rights and interests of students and scholars in Glasgow district, which the most trustworthy Chinese society for the local students and scholars.
