Manifesto
As a first-year PG student at the MVLS school, I am committed to fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive community for all post-graduate students. I believe that every student deserves an enriching experience that empowers them academically, socially, and emotionally. I will listen to your views and ensure your concerns are voiced competently and where appropriate confidentially.
Many students are navigating the complex balance of academic responsibilities with busy jobs, and I will promote an environment which you feel supported and have the flexibility to access resources facilitating your studying alongside work commitments.
I aim to:
- Enhance communication between the post-graduate community and wider university.
- Establish regular forums and feedback sessions where PG students can share their experiences and concerns.
- Reduce financial pressures on students.
- Work with the university to identify and promote funding opportunities, scholarships, and grants specifically for post-graduate students.
- Promote students’ academic and professional development
- Advocate for more tailored academic resources, including access to research funding and mentorship programs, to enhance post-graduate research opportunities.
Within this role I hope to help build a thriving post-graduate community where every student feels supported.
