Natasha Pooley (she/her)

Hi! I’m Natasha (she/her), and I’m a 3rd year Politics student who is excited to be re-running for Gender Equality Officer!
Having been involved in SRC Welcome Week for the last couple of years and have served as the SRC’s Gender Equality Officer for the last 4 months. In this time, I have attended regular meetings and through my role as Women in Politics President maintained a close relationship with the FemCollab. Following a meeting after my election, the University’s Gender Equality Group formally recommended the university sign up to the Emily Charter. There are plans to signpost GBV resources and welfare group successes mean that SRC now provide fidget toys at events and plan to create sensory spaces on campus.
If re-elected I would:
- Make sure the university follow through on adopting the Emily Charter
- Continue work on GBV reform.
- Maintain an active dialogue with the LGBTQ+ officer and affiliated societies to support trans and non-binary students.
- Work with the VPSS and VPED on Good Cause reform, to ensure students get the support they need.
- Work to make reusable period products more accessible, in partnership with the Environmental officer and the other Unions campaign and welfare teams.
Vote Natasha!
