Irene Libelli
My name is Irene (she/her), a student of International Relations and Sociology and I would love to become your School Representative! I am currently a Class Rep and do my best to keep students engaged and make their voices heard, actively working with staff to solve any concern.
The shift from online to in-person classes has not been stress-free, but confusing times can be a chance to reinvent ourselves and improve learning opportunities. Therefore, I would bring my full commitment and detail-oriented approach to the role to best represent your views and interests!
I will advocate for clear dates for grades return and will especially work with staff and other Reps to push for the release of feedback for online exams as well (there’s a fine line between essays and exams at Zoom University!). Additionally, we all know how confusing starting a career in social sciences or politics can be, so I would like to work on better and clearer career advice and provisions for students. Finally, I would be honoured to keep working on what the current School Rep Matilda has started: decolonising the curriculum, while also pushing for more gender inclusivity.
Hopefully I’ll have your vote and support!
