Emma Murray
Hi, I’m Emma and I’m a second year politics student. I’m currently the School of Humanities rep, so I’m prepared to jump straight into the role! I’d love to continue with the amazing work that Irene Libelli, the current school rep, has done in the areas of assessment, feedback, and student experience to ensure that the findings of her report are acted on. I also want to investigate creating a study space for SPS students. Furthermore, I’d aim to improve communication with class reps to ensure that every voice in the school is being heard!
Outside of the SRC I’m one of the campaigns coordinators for the GU Amnesty International Society. Through this I’ve gained invaluable experience in campaigning and working constructively with senior members of staff in the university, which I believe would serve me well as school rep. I was also a member of the Scottish Youth Parliament where I sat on the Education Committee. I believe that my involvement in these groups, as well as my experience as a school rep, have prepared me to represent SSPS students!
Thank you for reading my manifesto and I hope you’ll vote for me when the polls open!
