Sara Lombardo
Hi! My name is Sara Lombardo (she/her) and I am running for the position of Undergraduate College Convenor of Arts. I have been involved with the SRC since last year and I am currently studying Film and Television and Spanish my Majors. In the past, I have been a Class Rep and School Rep and I had been involved with the issues regarding the management of classes crisis and communication problems within schools. Therefore, I am keen on improving the system to resolve these problems.
If elected I would aim to:
- Improve the outreach and interaction between all departments.
- Increase Interdisciplinary activities.
- Improve communication and organisation between students and teaching staff.
During my time at the University of Glasgow, I have gained leadership, organisation, problem-solving and negotiation skills whilst volunteering as an SRC Freshers’ helper for two years. I believe these make me an ideal candidate and I promise to do the best I can for you. I will be a friendly and understanding presence on the council and will approach everything with a can-do attitude.
